Good one John! For me and my brothers, it’s El Producto cigars from our Gramps which he smoked well into his 90’s. And his wife, Gramma….”Midnight in Paris” and the various odors of body talc that we got her every Christmas as kids ( with our own money….at the 5 and 10 cents stores of old….really old). Predictably we managed to select “Just exactly” what she wanted each year. And freshly mown grass from my youth….and the old, musty smell of our beach house each summer. Many years later, the dresser I used as a very young girl STILL smells that way. Wouldn’t change a thing. I loved your piece on this. It’s amazing what a smell can evoke. Thanks. Barb Fonner

John - so you are human after. Nice nostalgic column, brings everyone to the same point, remembering mostly people who have passed (for now). BR

Lol. Because being pro-Constitution and anti-insurrection makes me less human?

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

John - You really have to drop the insurrection label, that was a liberal fantasy played out by a Hollywood guy inside a Hstacked House Committee chamber. You completely disregard Nancy Pelosi's taped confession of responsibility. If you use 'rebellion' it has a way more patriotic sound. Like a Tea Party rebellion. BR

BTW - your formal writing is a gift. Very, very nice.

I'll drop it when the dictionary does.

?

Your narrative is complete nonsense. Tune into Friday's Q&A.

>>If you use 'rebellion' it has a way more patriotic sound. Like a Tea Party rebellion.

The invasion of the Capitol was an insurrection, which is why I call it that. I'm sorry the dictionary offends you.

>>BTW - your formal writing is a gift. Very, very nice.

Thank you.
