I took your advise and watched the film version of "Snowpiercer". I don't watch horror. Thank you. I enjoyed it. I must tell you however that Toad and Glen Phillips are soft rock not in the folkie genre. Try a Martin Carthy or Anne Briggs record for that.
Glad you liked Snowpiercer. Much different than the TV show. Toad is indeed rock (alternative/soft), but like I said, Glenn's solo is stuff drifts on over to folk too.
I really liked the movie although the violence was a bit much. I had only seen t h e tv show which was kind of ok. Thanks again. . I listen to a lot of folk music and am amused when rockers ( of which I am one) think that a strummed acoustic guitar means folk music. To me it means songs of unknown traditional authorship and I will grant the term for music for music almost identical. I realize that my definition may be narrow when I would not consider Bob Dylan a folkie ( although he uses elements of it all the time). Happy Holidays..
It’s part of a desensitizing process. Marginalizing the elderly - easier to euthanize by way of economic need.
