Used cars are the bane of my existence. I do not buy them, unless forced to by you know who! If I am considering a purchase of someone else's headaches, I have my mechanic (yes I have one on speed dial) do a pre-sale check up on the vehicle. It saved me a grand on my last purchase. Score one for the old man.

As for The Guess Who, I am clearly in your camp. I saw them in concert in Alaska in the 70s. One of my first live events. These Eyes and American Woman are classic rock songs from my youth that reminds me of my full head of hair days.

Keep up the good work and lets get #5 out the door!

My first car was also about 10 years old. A 1963 Ford Galaxy. It needed work but my father helped me. I remember replacing an axle with him. It was a bonding experience. I did a brake job by myself. I remember getting in the car and hoping that it would stop.

BTW the Guess Who were more popular than the Who in the early 70s. American Woman was a bigger hit than anything the Who had recorded. I think that the Who was better but liked both. I once saw Burton Cummings play at the Garden States Arts Center. He did a savage version of You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. Apparently the breakup wasn't amicable.
