I haven't had a problem with scalpers. The last music show of a name band I attended was Social Distortion. Not exactly Taylor Swift. I did go to game 2 of the Mets-Padres playoff game. I went online the minute tickets went on sale and got dropped from the system. I refreshed and voila, I was in. I've seen Springsteen many times in the last 50 years. Never had trouble getting tickets. Then again, I was in a Central Jersey Rock band over 50 years ago and I always can find someone from the old days who knows someone who knows someone who knows "The Boss". No I can't get you tickets, John. LOL.
Back in those days my sister had a trick. Let's say Aerosmith tickets went on sale at 10 am. She would call the Ticketron at Macy's at 9:55 and ask about another show, let's say The Eagles. She'd ask about seats and then at precisely 10, she'd ask the clerk about Aerosmith. Worked like a charm.

Yep. Two choices back in the day. Wait for ticketron to open in Macy’s and storm the place, or buy scalper tickets. Scalper tickets for $25 bucks..
