RESTITUTION is Available for Pre-Order
Reserve your copy of Sean Coleman Thriller #5
I’m taking a break from my regular column-style newsletter this week to make a special announcement: my next book, Restitution: A Sean Coleman Thriller, is now available for pre-order! I can’t wait for you all to read it.
Here’s the back-cover blurb:
Life’s gotten better for hard-edged security guard, Sean Coleman. With personal affairs in order and relationships rekindled, he travels to Las Vegas to help celebrate a buddy’s last days as a bachelor.
Soon after he arrives, however, a twist of fate spawns a reunion with an old flame. Curiosity and a desire to make amends unexpectedly leads Sean down a dark path into the Vegas underground, where another face from the past emerges — a federal fugitive whose family, years earlier, altered the course of Sean’s life.
A heralding escape drops Sean in the barren wasteland of a Nevada desert, miles away from the glitz and glamor of Sin City. There, he must fight to stay alive against a well-armed group of men whose bloodlust and greed won’t detour them from getting what they’re after.
I had a lot of fun writing Restitution. It’s probably the most action-packed Sean Coleman Thriller to date, and I really enjoyed bringing back some characters from earlier books. Readers who’ve followed the series from the beginning may remember the city of Las Vegas playing a key (but subtle) role in the evolution of Sean Coleman. Just between you and me, I planted some seeds way back in that first book, regarding Sin City, that I never came back to… until now.
The story is tight, intense, and packed with surprises. And of course, it features a strong dose of that trademark Sean Coleman grit. I think you’re all going to enjoy it.
In the coming months, I’ll be posting exclusive excerpts from the book at the end of some of my newsletters.
You can pre-order Restitution right now through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Books-A-Million, and your local bookstore. By the end of the week, you’ll also be able to get it through Apple, Google Play, and the rest.
One more thing: I could really use your help getting the word out about Restitution and the rest of my Sean Coleman Thriller series. Word-of-mouth is a great way for authors to reach new audiences, so if you're a fan of my books, I’d appreciate you sharing today’s newsletter with your friends, family, and social media followers.
Oh, and if your local library doesn’t already have my books on its shelves, I’d be very grateful if you’d ask a librarian to order them.
Below are some more exciting things about the series…

Here are three fun facts regarding actor William Shatner:
I’m a big fan of his work.
When I was a child, he stiffed me for an autograph at an event he was appearing at, and when I joked about the incident just a few years ago on Twitter, he saw the tweet, got weirdly upset over it, and blocked my account.
His 1968 spoken-word album, The Transformed Man, is probably the weirdest record in my entire collection.
Today, I’ll talk about that last bullet point (maybe I’ll expand on the others in a future newsletter).
I remember hearing about this album many years ago from late comedian Phil Hartman, who brought it up during a talk-show appearance. Hartman’s description of Shatner over-dramatically reciting famous poems and pop-song lyrics sounded like a hoot.
Years later, I discovered a re-release of the album in a record store in South Carolina. I knew I had to pick it up, and I’m glad I did. But having listened to the whole thing, I still can’t figure out whether it was a serious attempt at art, or if it was a weird joke-recording featuring Shatner just screwing around — a cheap and goofy way of capitalizing off of the success he was enjoying from Star Trek at the time.
I’m sure the answer is out there somewhere on Internet, but either way, it’s a funny listen. Here’s a taste.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading today’s Daly Grind.
