great pics, looks like she did good on the surprise!!!! been to Vegas once for work decades ago, on an air cargo flight in the middle of the night in July. it was a billion degrees i think, some kind of record. i was shattered, i cannot imagine sunlight on your skin AND all that heat. but it's dry, right LOL

Yeah, Vegas in the summer can be absolutely brutal. We much prefer going there in the winter.

Have you ever been to Tuacahn Amphitheater in St. George Utah? It's about a 2 hour drive from Vegas. It holds 2000 people and produces elaborate theater productions. The daughter of a friend played Ella in the Rodgers and Hammerstein production of Cinderella and also Miss Honey in Matilda. I hear it's great family entertainment and that St. George is a good area if you like golf. The physical area resembles some of the wonderful photos featured in your article. Sounds like you had a great time.

Never been there, but having grown up close to Red Rocks, I have a strong appreciation for good amphitheaters. And yes, we had a wonderful time last weekend.
